How single parents shaped our strategy
Between April and June 2011, Gingerbread asked our members for their input to help us develop the next three year strategy. 593 members provided responses – some at great length so thank you! These have really helped us to shape our new strategy.
Here we’ve set out a summary of the responses and how this has shaped the strategy.
Who are our members?
Gingerbread has over 40,000 single parent members. Our membership is broadly representative of single parents in terms of gender mix, ethnicity and the proportion who are in or out of work. Single parents on very low incomes, and single parents with high education levels are over represented, while single parents with a disability are underrepresented.
