Digital Product Manager

Fixed-term contract – 15-20 hours per week until June 2017

£34,013 per annum pro-rata

Location: Kentish Town, London

About us

It’s an exciting time for us. We’re working to reach even more of the UK’s 2 million single parents, making sure they know we’re here and are using our support services.  We’re campaigning on a national scale to improve the lives of single parents and their children and ensure their voices are heard.

We are also implementing a digital strategy that is focused on deepening our understanding with single parents, joining-up our approach across channels and embedding digital across the organisation.

To that end, we are looking for someone to manage the delivery of our new website and new CRM (Salesforce). We anticipate that these will have a significant impact towards achieving Gingerbread’s vision of a society in which single parent families are valued and where they and their children are treated equally and fairly.

About you

We are looking for someone to make a valuable contribution to our charity with experience of having delivered on major digital projects (to time and budget) and managing key stakeholder relationships.

You will need to have a flexible approach and a strong track-record of having delivered substantial digital projects such as a website and CRM.

In the current economic and political climate – and with significant reforms taking place in both the benefits system, childcare and child maintenance systems – our role in communicating the concerns and opportunities for single parents is more important than ever.  

About you

This is an exciting, wide ranging role, ideal for a professional looking to lead the press office function of a highly effective campaigning charity.  Whether it’s improving awareness of our services amongst single parents, driving the media agenda in policy debates to maximise our lobbying influence, or working to support our fundraising, this role is pivotal. You will have a strong track record of gaining excellent media coverage, responding effectively to policy issues, and raising an organisation’s profile in a variety of media.

Communications Officer

About you

The Communications Officer role is exciting and varied. You will have experience of traditional and online marketing tools, and will be skilled at using social media to maximise the impact of campaigns and marketing activities. You will have excellent project management skills and a keen eye for design, and comfortable with design software. You will be a first class communicator, able to write engaging copy, with the ability to proof read and an eye for detail. And you will have strong brand management experience, with a good understanding of how to ensure brand compliance across an organisation.
